Sacramento DanceSport is the Largest Same-Sex Dance Program in the United States! It was founded by Kilee Cooper and Camille Wojtasiak in 2002 and have been teaching women and men to dance Latin and Standard Ballroom dancing ever since.

Kilee and Camille have been dancing together in the same-sex competition scene for five years. Under the direction of Danny Lerer for the last two years, Kilee and Camille have moved to the top of the World Same Sex Dance Scene. Their win at the London Open and at the World Federation Championship in 2005, solidifies their position as the top US Women’s Latin couple and challenges the field for the claim of top Women’s World couple. In 2004, they were joined by Jaime Cooper to instruct students the fine art of form, frame and not falling down.

Since the closing of “Timberline Spirits”, Seattle’s LGBT C&W dance crowd dances every Friday night at “The Cuff” on Capitol Hill hosted by the Rain Country Dance Association. Out Dancing is a dance project in Portland, OR, which began in 1995. It provides dance instruction for the GLBT community and their friends. They organized a world dance competition in Sacramento in 2005 and are planning a second world competition in 2006 in Budapest.

The Gay Gordons are London’s GLBT Scottish country dancing club. Drop in to our weekly sessions, and we’ll have you spinning, reeling, and jigging before you know where you are. We meet weekly, and organize two to three ceilidhs (dances - pronounced kalees) a year. The group is constantly growing in popularity, and we have been described by Time Out magazine as “the reel thing”.

The World Federation of Same Sex Dancing has chosen Hungary’s first competition for Same Sex dancing, “The Csardas Cup” to be the 2006 World Championship. The date is 21 October 2006. Both the Federation and the organizers of the Csardas Cup invite all the same sex dancers to the beautiful town of Budapest in 2006.
