Hello Dancers!
Welcome to the website, the blog, the dance floor.
Dancing is my passion and it is my social outlet and my favorite exercise. I hope you discover these same joys on a dancefloor or some place in your life.
Partners are important and we treasure them. Music is what makes it all keep going.
As one of my favorite salsa dancers, Alisha says: Dance is a conversation between two people – Let’s talk.
We can talk about specific dances, music, instructors, venues, competitions, the romance of dance, the energy of dance, gender roles in dance, health benefits of dance, costumes, shoes, teams, turns, history of dance, future of dance.
Let’s talk.

Hi, I would LOVE to be involved with this, but don’t know where to start. Please, can someone contact me via email about whether I’d be welcome to just “show up”? I’d love to be able to speak to some of the contra dancers involved in the GLBT community as well. Feel free to email me whoever you are and let me know your experiences in this group.

Sarah,
I have not used the ‘blog’ feature much so forgive me if I have been a long time responding. I cannot see the date of your comment.
If you are still interested in ‘starting’ , send me an email at shirley@comeoutdancing.com and I will help you begin having fun on the dancefloor.
